佛山市愛助會副會長、愛助食堂項目發起人鄒景禧表現，位于老城區的新安街，高齡、獨居、孤寡白叟較為集中，“買菜做飯未便、獨自用餐冷僻”成為廣泛問題。為解決這些問題，愛助食堂應運而生。
